Hi, I’m Amanda, the creator of ESCH Candles.
Our brand name ESCH derives from my mother’s family name. My passions and inspirations have come from my birthplace of Brazil, a country I hold very close to my heart. A country rich with culture, beautiful beaches, exotic greenery, wildlife and more importantly, genuine, fun and friendly people. I’m a lover of all things nature, trail running, fitness, holistic wellness and creativity.
After working in the corporate world for 19 years, I‘ve come to learn that self-care and self-love are important practices to maintain a balanced, positive and focused lifestyle. The recent pandemic was a turning point for me where redundancy opened up an opportunity for me to follow one of my passions of expanding my creativity with candles and also helping out in the community as a Physiotherapy Assistant. I have a strong belief in the saying, ‘Choose a job you love and you won’t have to work another day in your life!’.
On a personal level, the candle-making process is both extremely therapeutic and rewarding. Candles have been used in sacred ceremonies for centuries, to bring a peaceful ambiance into a space. The simple ritual of lighting a candle can help promote calmness, relaxation and alleviate stress, evoking different emotions, memories, and moods. In recent times, candles have become the new wave in interior design inspiration. We aim to recreate this by adding flair, creating calmness and tranquillity in homes.
At ESCH, our team is passionate about sourcing and providing the highest quality products that are vegan and handcrafted in Berwick, Victoria. This includes premium quality fragrance infused with pure essential oils, lead-free cotton wicks, and 100% natural soy wax. We’re extremely proud that all our products are hand-poured with love and cured for 14 days. We hope that you love these candles as much as we’ve enjoyed creating them for you.
